Gideon’s Bar Mitzvah Portraits – Temple Shalom, Chevy Chase, Md.

“Your yad began its life as a branch on the sycamore tree outside my bedroom window…” Gideon’s grandmother hand made a beautiful yad for her grandson to use as he read torah for the first time at his Bar Mitzvah.

Gideon has grown into an incredible young man in the four years since I last photographed him at his older brother’s Bar Mitzvah. Wearing a custom made suit and a tallis he crafted himself, Gideon beamed during his portrait session.  Mazel tov Lisa, Andy, Ethan, and Gideon!
