Madeleine’s family and friends joined her in celebrating her Bat Mitzvah at Temple Rodef Shalom in Virginia. Guests were greeted with intricate handmade place cards and centerpieces lovingly crafted by Madeleine and her parents. A singer (she is active in 5 choirs!) Madeleine joined Rick Recht on stage for several songs, and performed L’dor Vador on the piano. Rick is one of my kids’ favorite singers, so I was thrilled to hear him perform, but Madeleine really stole the show.

Tracie at Special Occasion Specialists helped the afternoon run flawlessly while Catering by LT kept the guests well fed. After a personalized slideshow for each candle lighting honoree and a slideshow for Madeleine, an energetic hora and hugs goodbye ended the afternoon.
