In the past fourteen years, Rachael has photographed over one hundred B'nai Mitzvah celebrations. She adores the families, the kids, the parties and most importantly, the significance of marking a milestone in a young person's life. This combination of documenting such joy mixed with the responsibility of conveying the importance of the service is what made her fall in love with photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

This combination of documenting such joy, mixed with the responsibility of conveying the importance of the service, is what made her fall in love with photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. In fact, she shoots nothing else, making her the only photographer in the country to specialize exclusively in B'nai Mitzvah photography.

After earning a degree in photojournalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications, Rachael worked as a photojournalist at newspapers around the country. She covered the sensitivity of breaking news, kept pace with professional athletes, and created compelling images in ordinary situations, all of which gives a unique perspective to her B'nai Mitzvah photography.

As a mom herself, Rachael looks for intimate moments between parents and their children. This allows her to connect with her younger clients on a personal level and capture images that take a parent's breath away.

Rachael grew up in Baltimore and lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland with her husband Ryan, son Jack, daughter Dalia and dog Ollie.

OUR STYLE . . .

In the past thirteen years, Rachael has photographed over ninety B'nai Mitzvah. She adores the families, the kids, the celebrations and most importantly, the significance of marking a milestone in a young person's life. This combination of documenting such joy mixed with the responsibility of conveying the importance of the service is what made her fall in love

Associate photographer Joey Pulone worked as a graphic designer until the birth of his children changed his outlook on everything. In one instant, Joey became less fearful of children and more compassionate about the world and his own community. He also decided to get serious about his lifelong love of photography. Joey's passion turned to obsession as he began studying all forms of photography with a voracious appetite.

A father of a 15-year-old son and two daughters who are 13 and 11 respectively taught Joey how to relate to wildly different personalities and demeanors of children. Every child is so unique and there's a different toolset and energy Joey brings to the table with every new relationship. Without having three children of his own, Joey never would have developed these skills and been able to relate to kids the way he does now.

Joey is always amazed at how different every event can be and how every group of people has a common cast of characters. Capturing these characters within there own unique story is fascinating, invigorating, and a great challenge.

Joey lives in Ellicott City, Maryland with his knockout wife, Debbie Ruth, and three kiddos Max, Liv, and Sofie.
